Aviation and Aerospace Conformal Coatings

Applications-Aviation-and-Aerospace-copy

Parylene is a transparent, thin film conformal coating that withstands the extreme temperature and pressure conditions encountered in aviation and aerospace applications. CWST is an established provider of Parylene technology and coating services to leading aerospace and aviation industry firms including Honeywell, Northrup-Grumman, Boeing, Airbus, BAE, Raytheon and NASA.

Inert Parylene coating provides highly uniform coverage across planar surfaces, in deep crevices and around sharp edges. It has high dielectric value even in very thin layers (∼5KV/mil), and forms an effective barrier against moisture, vapor and gases as well as organic solvents, organic and inorganic chemicals, acids and oils. Parylene has no cure phase, and creates no mechanical stress on components, either during the coating process or in use across a wide thermal range.

CWST has decades of experience in Parylene coating military and defense equipment, and is fully qualified to all pertinent industry standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 13845. Our national Parylene coating centers have quality management systems (QMS) certified to aerospace standard AS9100, and Parylene technicians are trained to meet IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 and NASA 8739.1 standards.
