HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We process your personal information for the following lawful reasons:
Information you give to us.
- Where you have ordered goods and services from us or we have a contract with you we process your personal information to fulfil the contract.
- For the legitimate interest of providing you with the information you requested from us and as part of preparing for a contract or a sale.
- Where we have an existing relationship, we will use your information for the legitimate interest of sending you marketing information about our products and services or to invite you to events. We do this as it is necessary we promote our business to customers and potential customers, but we will always offer you the right to opt-out of future communications.
- Where you represent a new customer or supplier we will conduct Restricted Party Screening (“ RPS”) of your name against global public information sources and we use a third party to conduct this screening.We do this as it is necessary we seek assurance of customer and suppliers as part of our compliance to International Traffic in Arms Regulations. We screen your name only, and no other personal information.
Information we collect about you .
- to ensure that the Website operates effectively and for internal operations, including technical administration, troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;
- to provide you with a better experience, to improve the quality, value, functionality and general user friendliness of the Website, and to analyse and understand how the Website is used;
- as part of our efforts to keep the Website safe and secure; and

Storing your information
Your personal information will be stored on systems owned or operated by Curtiss-Wright or those of our approved third party suppliers. It may be stored on servers located within the European Economic Area (“ EEA”), on servers located within countries approved by the EU and on servers located within countries not approved by the European Commission (“ EC”).
Where your information is processed in countries not approved by the EC, our contracts with our suppliers include the EU model clauses to ensure that your personal information is adequately protected.
Within Curtiss-Wright your information will be stored on our secured systems .
Who we will share your information with
We will not sell or swap your information with any third party. We will share your information where:
- such disclosure is necessary to enable our suppliers who are involved in delivering services to you;
- such disclosure is necessary to enable our suppliers who provide us with internal marketing, web services and IT Services, and other necessary functions;
- · our global Restricted Party Screening provider, Visual Compliance;
- we are required to share your personal information with a member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, for legitimate business purposes; or
- Curtiss-Wright or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal information held by it about its users will be one of the transferred assets.
RETENTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will retain your personal information in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. In the case of project or contract related information, we must retain your information for 7 years after the end of the contract. For certain products and services, we must retain contracts and project related information for longer to comply with international regulations (for example relating to avionics), in which case the information is retained for 15 years.
For general business contacts we will only retain your information while we are actively engaged with you. Where we have had no interaction with you for a period of 5 years we will delete your data.
RPS information is retained for 12 months.

If you are located in the EEA, you have a number of rights in relation to how we process your personal information. These include:
- the right access the personal information that we may hold about you;
- the right to rectify any inaccurate personal information that we may hold about you;

No fee usually required.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to exercise your rights. Time limit to respond.
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
