AVIATION AND AEROSPACE CONFORMAL COATINGS

AVIATION AND AEROSPACE CONFORMAL COATINGS

Parylene is a transparent, thin film conformal coating that withstands the extreme temperature and pressure conditions encountered in aviation and aerospace applications. CWST is an established Parylene technology and coating service provider to leading aerospace and aviation industry firms, including Honeywell, Northrup-Grumman, Boeing, Airbus, BAE, Raytheon, and NASA.

Inert Parylene coating provides uniform coverage across planar surfaces, deep crevices, and around sharp edges. Even in very thin layers, it has a high dielectric value (∼5KV/mil). It forms an effective barrier against moisture, vapor and gases, organic solvents, organic and inorganic chemicals, acids, and oils. Parylene has no cure phase and creates no mechanical stress on components during the coating process or when used across a wide thermal range.

CWST, with decades of experience in Parylene coating military and defense equipment, is fully qualified to all pertinent industry standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 13845. Our national Parylene coating centers, equipped with quality management systems (QMS) certified to aerospace standard AS9100, are staffed by Parylene technicians trained to meet IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and NASA 8739.1 standards. This extensive experience and qualifications ensure our clients have our expertise and capabilities.
