GAS TUNGSTEN ARC WELDING (GTAW)
Bolt’s Metallizing, CWST offers Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) services to fit your metal joining needs. Our welders are certified and trained to produce good quality weldments for different types of industries, different types of material, and different types of weld joints
GTAW, also known as TIG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas), is a welding process in which a tungsten electrode and filler metal rods are utilized to produce the weld. It is most commonly used to weld thin materials. Oxidation and contamination are controlled and eliminated by using an inert gas shield, usually Argon or Helium. Some welds do not require Filler metal rods (Fusion Weld / Tack Weld).
